Prevention Coordinator

The Prevention Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of counseling and testing and family planning activities through two major functions: 1) Program Development, responsible for oversight of the counseling and testing and family planning service component and its staff; and 2) Contract Compliance – Secures that contractual goals are met and works closely with the Program Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and Department Director to develop plans that result in goal attainment. Requirements: Master Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology and/or Bachelors Degree with two years experience in counseling or social work with a preference on substance abuse or HIV infection services; Bilingual/Bicultural (English/Spanish) Good communication skills: listening, writing and oral; Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, drug and alcohol resources and services available within the community, Valid Drivers License.


Comprehensive Risk Reduction Counselor

Needed to provide those living with HIV/AIDS intensive risk reduction counseling with the goal of minimizing the spread of HIV; Assess and monitor clients, refer them to support services Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or Nursing; Two years experience in counseling or social work with a preference on substance abuse or HIV infection services; Bilingual/ Bicultural (English/Spanish); Sensitivity to the needs of persons with HIV infection, Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, drug and alcohol resources and services available within the community


Adult D&A Therapist

The Therapist provides clinical counseling to adult clients in the D&A program. Facilitate weekly group therapy. Provide individual and family therapy for people dealing with drug and alcohol issues. Coach, assist and pursue agency goals with all clients as appropriate, including education and employment goals and service integration, referring internally and externally as appropriate.
Requirements: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or other social science related field with a minimum of one year of counseling experience, preferably with substance abusing clients; Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred


D&A Client Manager

The Client Manager position is supervised by the Client Management Coordinator of Drug & Alcohol Client management Services and in her absence the Director of Behavioral Health Services. The Client Manager will work closely with the other client managers and the Program Coordinator to assure quality services for all client management through Congreso’s integrated service delivery model, and appropriate documentation, contract compliance and reporting. Coordinate and advocate for a range of core and supportive services to address treatment related needs and education and/or employment. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Health or related field; Bilingual/Bicultural (Spanish/English) preferred; Knowledgeable about the Latino community in Philadelphia; Knowledgeable regarding Substance Abuse and its impact on the Latino community; Good oral and written communication skills; Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations; A valid drivers license.


P/T Therapist

02/26/08
Fee for service mental health clinician needed. 15-35 hours available. Must have a related Master’s degree and 1-2 years experience. Must be Spanish speaking; although non-Spanish speaking therapist with experience working with children & youth will be acceptable.
