We are happy to announce to you the launch of our Volunteer e-newsletter, Juntos Aprendemos, Together we Learn, where we will announce openings of volunteer positions, promote Congreso’s community events, and feature some of our favorite people—you!


You will have a chance to be featured in one of our Juntos Aprendemos e-newsletters! Congreso will choose an outstanding volunteer each quarter who demonstrates:

Some of our volunteer opportunities

Congreso’s Tax Site
This month we are currently recruiting volunteers to help us with our Tax Site to help bring $1,000,000 back into our Community!
(Training is Provided, very EASY to use software system to use powered by The Benefit Bank )

Mentor a young person
Make a difference in a youth’s life by serving as a mentor. Commit as little as a few hours a week for six to eight weeks to a child in need of a caring adult. We offer very flexible Workplace Mentorship opportunities. Need an intern? Take on one of our promising students to help you out in your place of work. Mentor a Congreso Staff Member
Are you experienced in Social Work, Mental Health, Communication, etc.? Enlighten our talented team here at Congreso with your expertise. For more information please contact Michelle Martinez, Volunteer Director, at martinezme@congreso.net.

Tutor a student
Congreso is seeking tutors for our Edison High School after school program, Exito (Success). Tutors are needed to assist students during program hours from 3:15 pm until 4:00 pm (Monday- Thursday). Volunteers would help students with homework and remedial tutoring of Math & English on a 9th grade high school level. The volunteer must commit to at least 2 times per week. Volunteer your Expert Services
Are you retired, semi-retired, or simply want to give back to a promising community on your free time? Do you have a professional background in social work, health, finance, or legal services and want to provide free consultation to our clients? If so, please donate your time here!

Join our Young Professionals network, La Liga Latina for a chance to network with others also interested in volunteerism and the Latino community & culture, to receive discount tickets to our upcoming Gala Latina, and much more! Join us for an opportunity to be a part of an Elders Leadership group in Congreso for those who are retired or semi-retired leaders, and aspiring leaders in the community who can commit up to 10 hours a week of volunteerism (3-5 slots available).
