Part Time Site Coordinator - Fair Hill Elementary School 04/21/08
The Site Coordinator will be responsible for the administration, coordination and supervision of at least 4 Activity Leaders or Servant Leader Interns, a Safety Monitor, and at least 5 high school students (up to 20 in the summer). The Site Coordinator will assist in the development and oversee implementation of the After School and Summer Programs at the school. In addition, the Site Coordinator will link the program with community resources.
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred; Professional supervisory experience required; Experience providing direct services to youth, the community or related experience; Experience working with at-risk youth; Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; Excellent writing and computer skills preferred.

Youth Development Manager 04/01/08
The Youth Development Manager will be supervised by the Vice President of Children and Youth Services and will be responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and supervision of the Youth Services Prevention Programs including the Exito, College Success, and Futuros Programs Teen YET, the Beacon Center, and the Year-Round Youth Works Program. In addition, the Youth Development Manager will link Congreso's community programs to children and families in North Philadelphia. This is a professional position of considerable responsibility at the administrative level within the Children and Youth Services Division. Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field, experience working with at-risk youth, 2 yrs. management experience, Bilingual (Spanish/English), excellent computer skills.

Service Learning Instructor 03/13/2008
The Service Learning Instructor will work with high school students as part of the Youth Development Department team. The Summer Service Learning program is a 6 week program designated to involve youth in team-based projects that identify community needs and provide visible, active services to address them. The Instructor will be responsible for facilitating the Service Learning project, writing lesson plans collecting attendance sheets, working directly with youth to develop, implement and present their service learning project. The Service Learning Instructor will also co-facilitate academic and career based workshops for youth.
Minimum of 2 years of college required and experience in health, juvenile justice, civic engagement and/or arts preferable; Experience working with at-risk youth; Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

P/T SAT Instructor 12/6/2007
This individual will develop an interactive and engaging curriculum on test taking strategies, Critical Reading, Writing and Math for junior and senior high school students. The purpose of this course is not only to prepare students for the exam in the spring, but to promote confidence in the students’ability to gain college access and achieve college success. The curriculum will be taught to 15 students. This part-time position is on Wednesday from 4 to 6:30 (7:30 for practice tests days) from November through June.
Bachelor’s degree required. Experience providing direct services to teenagers required. Experience with curriculum development and writing instruction, and SAT or test taking instruction preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
