For over 30 years Congreso has consistently provided leadership in the development of community engaging projects. This section examines some of what we know about the community according to our expertise and familiarity with the area. The page Census summarizes a few demographic characteristics of the community. Eastern Northern Philadelphia Youth Services Coalition (ENPYS): An example of Congreso's Committment and Leadership.

The Eastern North Philadelphia Youth Services Coalition (ENPYS) has brought together a group of community-based organizations located in Eastern North Philadelphia to coordinate services and ensure that children and families have access to comprehensive critical resources, information and support services. Current organizational members of the Coalition are Asociación de Músicos Latino Americanos (AMLA), APM, ASPIRA, Ceiba, Centro Nueva Creacion, Centro Pedro Claver, The Council of Spanish Speaking Organizations (Concilio), Congreso de Latinos Unidos,  HACE, The Lighthouse, Norris Square Civic Association, Norris Square Neighborhood Project, Taller Puertorriqueño, Nueva esperanza, West Kensington Boys & Girls Club and Youth United for Change.
