Community Asthma Prevention Program (CAPP)

Congreso and the Community Asthma Prevention Program are providing free asthma classes to any parents with asthmatic children. The purpose of these classes is to learn more about asthma and reduce asthma triggers at home. Parents are asked to attend three classes. For attendance, they may receive free books, Murphy’s cleaner, roach baits, mattress covers, pillow covers, food and a home visit to assess asthma triggers. Services are provided in Spanish and English and gift certificates will be given to participants.

The 10 week series includes: - Education on the risk factors for Latina women related to cardiovascular diseases - Education on Healthy Nutrition - Salsaerobics – Exercise Class You will also receive incentives for your participation as well as Child Care and Transportation assistance if needed.
