Andreina Hein

Board Chair

Andreina Hein joined the Board of Congreso de Latinos Unidos in November 2015 and was elected as Board Chair in September 2020. As a first-generation immigrant born in Caracas Venezuela, Ms. Hein grew up in Miami, Florida prior to making her way north along the east coast. She lives and works in the City of Philadelphia serving as the Vice President of Business Development for C. Erickson and Sons, a family-owned commercial construction company based in the Philadelphia region since 1954. She is focused on leading strategic initiatives to develop client relationships and identify and win new business opportunities across various real estate market sectors. She leads project teams in successful proposal and presentation pursuits and remains involved through the project life cycle to ensure satisfied and long-term clients.

 

Ms. Hein brings almost 20 years of varied professional experience to her role ranging from managing construction projects on active commercial construction sites to managing research project teams studying Latino children and families in the early childhood education field. Prior to entering the commercial real estate and construction industry, Ms. Hein served as a Research Associate at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She worked closely with Latino communities across Central North Carolina to study the needs, resources, and language development of young English Language Learners (ELLs) being served by early childhood programs and their families.

 

Throughout her career, she has been committed to serving on boards and committees of professional and community organizations related to her interests and passion. Her most recent involvements include Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) of Greater Philadelphia, Professional Women in Construction (PWC), Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), Congreso de Latinos Unidos, and various Bicycle Clubs and Racing Teams.

 

Ms. Hein obtained her Master of Arts Degree in Early Childhood, Families, and Literacy with a focus on second language acquisition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a focus on early childhood development from the University of Miami, where she graduated in three academic years with Summa cum Laude, General, Departmental, and Phi Beta Kappa Honors. Ms. Hein also achieved the Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) and LEED Accredited Professional (AP) credentials while working in the commercial construction and real estate industry.
