Tax Services
Congreso’s Tax Site, which is run by volunteers, utilizes the Benefit Bank as its system to complete tax returns for individuals and families. The tax site will run from January 27th, 2020 – April 15th, 2020. Hours of operation: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. No appointments are necessary. Walk-ins will be served on a first come first serve basis and is contingent on the number of volunteers. The site is open to the public and employees.
For accuracy, bring these documents with you
– W-2 and 1099 forms for income, pensions or Social Security, or unemployment received in 2018 plus last year’s tax return (if available)
– Social Security cards for you and your dependents’ (or other Social Security document with full SSN on it)
– State-Issued photo ID (current driver’s license, state ID, passport, Green Card, or Employment Authorization card) AND birth dates for all household members
– Checking and/or savings account numbers
– Year-end statement for childcare expenses AND Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number of the provider
– 1098-T form for any college/ trade school expenses paid
– 1095-A statement (if applicable) AND Total all expenses plus bills/receipts for medicine and doctor’s visits as backup
– Property tax
