CONGRESO CELEBRATES NATIONAL UNIDOSUS & TOP WORKPLACE AWARDS 

PHILADELPHIA, PA – During this year’s UnidosUS 2024 Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, Congreso de Latinos Unidos was named the Northeast Affiliate of the Year. Congreso President & CEO Jannette Diaz proudly accepted the honor that was accompanied by a $10,000 award to support Congreso’s mission. 

The 2024 UnidosUS Annual Conference, “Our Time is Now!” shed light on the critical efforts of leaders and advocates, including closing the Latino homeownership gap, increasing access to affordable healthcare and building political power for Latinos in this critical election year. Congreso, as one of over 300 UnidosUS affiliates (42 in the Northeast Region), was awarded for their exemplary work serving Philadelphia’s Latino community in those very areas and beyond.  

In addition to the UnidosUS award, Congreso has once again been recognized as a 2024 Top Workplace in the Philadelphia Region. This marks the sixth consecutive year that Congreso has earned this distinction. The award is a result of an independent survey of employees conducted by Workplace Dynamics in partnership with the Philadelphia Inquirer.

In Fiscal Year 2023, over 11,000 unduplicated clients were served through 25+ programs focused on education, workforce development, health, housing, and family services.
