PHILADELPHIA – Carolina Cabrera DiGiorgio, CEO of Congreso de Latinos Unidos, was named to the Pennsylvania Advisory Committee of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, a national nonpartisan organization. In addition to joining the other 49 states to support the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition’s broader mission and network of over 500 businesses and non-governmental organizations; national security and foreign policy experts; and business, faith-based, academic, military, and community leaders to build a better, safer world, the Committee is tasked with helping to build a safer and more prosperous Pennsylvania.

Joining DiGiorgio on the Pennsylvania Advisory Committee are business, non-profit, academic, and military leaders from across the Commonwealth. These leaders, along with their colleagues from across the United States, recognize the Nation’s role as a humanitarian leader and as an advocate for global stability, building economic prosperity, alleviating poverty and hunger, fighting HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases, and expanding educational opportunities for women and girls. These issues are close to the heart of DiGiorgio and to the Agency that she leads. Congreso de Latinos Unidos has played a significant role in addressing local challenges with these issues since 1977.

Upon her selection to the committee, DiGiorgio, a Honduran immigrant, stated, “I am so honored to serve as a member of the Pennsylvania Advisory Committee and proud to support the national coalition to ensure that the United States remains a global leader in humanitarian efforts and making the world a better place.” The honor of serving on the committee complements her passion and dedication to moving the Nation, the Commonwealth, and the City forward by engaging and investing in communities both financially and socially.
