CDA Training Program
The CDA Training is a 10-week program that provides 120 hours of instruction to obtain nationally recognized CDA credentials that are required to work in childcare. Congreso’s Education and Workforce Service provides classroom instruction Monday to Friday, 9:00-3:30p.m. for six weeks and, for the remaining four weeks, places successful candidates in an internship position at a childcare facility. Upon successful completion of training, graduates are eligible for full-time employment opportunities with starting salaries ranging from $8.50 – $10.00 per hour.
Eligibility
- Be referred by an EARN Center
- Have over 10 weeks of training time available
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be 18 years or older
- Have ability to communicate effectively in English
- Pass a Child Abuse Clearance and Background Check
- Highly motivated and enjoy working with infants, toddlers and pre-k aged children
