Traquillia Kennedy serves in the new Congreso role of Vice President of Human Resources. She is challenged with being the strategic partner in the HR governance of workforce strategy, executive coaching, managing the people implications of business decisions; while ensuring that the HR initiatives provide the organization with a competitive advantage.
Since 2007, Traquillia has progressively developed as a Human Resources Leader; from grassroots tactical, implementation to strategic planning and organizational development. Her most recent role being Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer at the LEAP Academy University Charter School District in Camden, NJ.
She began her leadership trajectory within the Mastery Charter School District; as the HR Operations Manager for 10 schools with over 800 employees. She was the co-founder for the vision and mission of Mastery’s Human Resources function as it relates to culture, performance management, employee relations, and operations. This role expanded her visibility within the educational industry providing the opportunity to later launch her own HR Consultative service.
She partnered with various other consultative service brands (Proxus HR, Exude Inc., & The Rosen Group) to expand her network pipeline. These ventures skyrocketed her career providing navigation from a multi-faceted perspective of private and not-for profit industries at multiple sizes; from pharmaceutical, hospitality, recreation, legal, global technology, manufacturing, and education. She has served companies in organizational development plans, performance management, training & development, HRIS system implementation, sole employee relations management, strategic planning, and various other policy development initiatives and operational functions to strengthen the organizational culture.
Traquillia was first introduced to the Congreso brand in 2015 in an organizational service assessment with Exude, Inc., and well as front line deliverables on FMLA Policy Development Planning & Training at Pan American Academy Charter School.
A native of New Haven, Connecticut; Traquillia has purposefully sought out organizations that provide impact to the community due to her early roots as a Site Youth Counselor at L.E.A.P. in Connecticut. She continues her service to youth in partnership with the Bailey Academic Excellence & Achievement Committee providing academic guidance and opportunities to support the success of their precollege performance to drive their higher educational accessibility.
Traquillia attended Temple University studying Computer Information Science and later Strayer University for Business Administration and Human Resources Management. Traquillia has certifications in Organizational Leadership and Inspiring Leadership through Emotional Intelligence with Training and Development, and is a Certified ELI (Civil Treatment) Facilitator. Her philosophy is driven by a high-touch approach; being visible, hands-on, and transparent with a focus on organizational coaching and mediation. The goal is always to propel more initiatives of leadership development and standardized culture-based strategy that will positively impact how we work and work more efficiently.
