Congreso is an official GED Testing Site affording hundreds of Pennsylvania residents the opportunity to complete their GED each year. Open hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Eligibility

  • Students must be at least 18 years of age to take the GED exam in Pennsylvania.
  • Students must bring a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, non-driver’s license, passport) and proof of Pennsylvania residency, if not stated on the ID, with them to the testing center. Testers that do not possess a valid photo ID will not be permitted to take their test.
  • Students must create an account on GED.com to take official GED test at Congreso’s GED test center.

1. Get Ready for the GED

  1. Learners who are looking to enroll in English as Second Language Courses, GED-English courses, or various training or certification courses should all register through Congreso’s myPLACE℠ Campus in order to get started and make an introductory appointment.
  2. In this appointment, you will have to take a level test to be referred to the most convenient classes according to your needs and level.

2. Take Your GED Exam

  1. Prospective registrants are encouraged to visit the website www.ged.com in order to register for the exam online.
  2. Once you have created a GED account, select the Congreso testing center and you may choose a preferred date and time to sit for the exam.
  3. Don’t forget to bring your valid photo ID with you or you will not be permitted to test.
  4. Be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled test appointment.
  5. Please be aware that some GED tests do not include a scheduled break. Please come prepared.
